About San

For years, the loudest voice in my life was my own inner critic. Life had taught me to be mean to myself — I disliked my body, my personality and my emotions.

My first passion was film. It taught me that the stories we tell about ourselves shape our lives — so I started rewriting mine, and it changed everything. The world opened up. I moved to Germany and studied psychology to share what I’d found.
My work showed me how our experiences turn into beliefs about ourselves — and those beliefs shape how we treat ourselves and each other. Hurt gets passed on, and it can become someone else’s belief too. But it works the other way as well: kindness and healing get passed on just the same. That’s what I hope to do with my work and my life.

I’m not done with my inner work. Some days my inner critic still gets to me and I feel less worthy — the difference is that now I have ways to embrace that voice, cope with it and transform it.

RiverCalm is where I share what I’ve learned, so you don’t have to find it alone.
